Kira is an award-winning attorney and Certified Information Privacy Practitioner/United States (CIPP/US) with extensive experience successfully negotiating favorable terms in complex enterprise agreements. She advises companies and non-profits alike on complying with state privacy laws and leads corporate trainings on information security best practices and compliance.  Kira also represents clients in registering trademarks with the United States Patent and Trademark Office and protecting their intellectual property rights.

 

Kira’s business work includes reviewing, interpreting, and negotiating complex enterprise agreements for clients ranging from start-ups to public companies, in a variety of industries including technology, telecommunications, fintech, and financial services. She advises clients on strategy where clients have contractual disputes that could not be resolved.  During her time at the U.S. Department of Labor, Kira won multiple awards for her legal work, including an award for the successful resolution of an $80 million contract-based dispute.  Indeed, Kira’s past experience with counterparty conflicts involving complex enterprise agreements enables her to proactively identify business and legal risk in agreements, and to advise clients on mitigating them.

 

Kira graduated magna cum laude from American University, Washington College of Law. She is currently earning her LLM in Taxation through the University of Florida (#2 in Tax Law Program in US). Kira is licensed to practice in California, Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia.

 

Outside of work Kira, her husband, and two young boys enjoy orienteering and trekking through National Parks.
